59th Hitachi Sakura Matsuri

Today, I’ll continue writing in my diary in English. The highlight of today was the 59th Hitachi Sakura Matsuri. This festival is held in early April when cherry blossoms are in full bloom every year. The main event was the traditional float, which was 15 meters long. I felt nostalgic as I enjoyed this festival and the float, just like I did when I was an elementary school student in my hometown.
